BREW GUIDE
Cafetiere
What kind of coffee will I get?
Dark + full bodied.
With a cafetière, you generally get a dark, full bodied brew. Depending on the size of your vessel, you can make a single cup or many. The 0.6 Timemore French Press is ideal for making two large cups at once.
How much coffee will I need?
16g.
As a general rule, you want 16g for every 240ml of water. Our Blue Note Filter blend, coarsely ground, is ideal for a balanced everyday brew.
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Add your ground coffee to the cafetière.
Step 2
Boil a kettle and let the water cool for one minute. Alternatively, heat your water up to 92-96°c.
Step 3
Pour a small amount of water over the coffee ground and gently stir. Then top up with the rest of the water and stir another couple if times to ensure all grounds are infused.
Step 4
Let your coffee steep for 4 minutes, then add the lid and push the plunger down slowly, with even pressure.
Step 5
Pour and enjoy. If you’re not drinking right away, pour over your brewed coffee into a thermal carafe or flask. This will prevent it from extracting any more from the ground coffee and becoming bitter or gritty.
